Voorlopige startlijst DMCI 20 november staat online
De (voorlopige) startlijst voor de eerste Dutch Masters Cup (DMC) van dit seizoen is beschikbaar. Deze wedstrijd vindt plaats in Enschede. Je vindt de startlijst hier. De definitieve startlijst en het tijdschema worden uiterlijk een kwartier voor aanvang van de wedstrijd opgehangen in de hal.
Meld je aan bij de wedstrijdleiding
Meld je uiterlijk een half uur voor de wedstrijd aan bij de wedstrijdleiding. Deze zit in het restaurant. De wedstrijd begint om 18.00 uur, dus dit betekent dat je je uiterlijk om 17.30 uur meldt.
Blokjesleggers
Om op tijd te kunnen starten, vragen we altijd vier rijders (of hun coaches) om vooraf aan de wedstrijd de blokjes te leggen (het gaat om één bocht per rijder). Ditmaal is het verzoek aan de volgende rijders om dit te doen:
- Stijn Verhagen
- Robert da Costa
- Anton Mink
- Arjen Esselink
Graag zodra de ijsmachine de baan op gaat om te dweilen, met schaatsen aan melden bij de emmers met blokjes zodat je, zodra je een seintje krijgt, het ijs op kunt om de blokjes te leggen. Op deze manier verloopt alles vlot kunnen we tijdig starten. Bedankt alvast voor je medewerking!
Dutch Masters Cup
De Dutch Masters Cup is een (internationaal) toernooi voor masters over drie wedstrijden op de banen van Enschede, Leeuwarden en Thialf. Per wedstrijd kun je als master deelnemen aan twee afstanden. Naast het winnen van de cup voor de beste heer of dame over deze drie wedstrijden, kunnen er bij deze officiële IMSSC-wedstrijden ook wereldrecords worden gereden. Hier vind je de uitleg hoe deze DMC in elkaar zit. En hier vind je de wereldrecords-lijst van 2022.
Sponsor DMC 2022-2023
Net als vorig seizoen heeft ook nu Jan van der Hoorn Schaatssport uit Ter Aar zich bereid gevonden de Dutch Masters Cup te sponsoren. Toen waren de winnaars Thea Kroontje en Rene van Bernum. Wie gaan er dit seizoen met de cup en checks vandoor?

Een paar afspraken voor een goed verloop en de veiligheid van de wedstrijd:
- Zorg ervoor dat je op tijd bij de start bent
- Zorg zelf voor de juiste kleur van je wedstrijdbandje om je rechterarm
- Rij rustig op de warming-up baan rondom de plek waar gestart wordt
- Rechtop uitrijden zo dicht mogelijk tegen de binnenboarding en niet naast elkaar
- Ga de wedstrijdbaan pas in nadat de starter dat aangeeft d.m.v. het fluitsignaal
- En voor de coaches: hou je aan de officiële coachingsregels, oftewel: meerijden met je rijders op de inrijbaan is niet toegestaan

Decharge jaarrapport 2021-2022
Het bestuur van MCLN vraagt goedkeuring aan haar leden (dit zijn alle Schaatscircuit.nl-leden van 30 jaar en ouder) voor het jaarverslag van het afgelopen seizoen.
Je kunt het jaarverslag 2021-2022 en de begroting 2022-2023 bekijken in het jaarrapport. Heb je vragen over het jaarverslag of de begroting, stuur die dan via mail naar Bram de Vries. Dan komt hij daar zo snel mogelijk bij je op terug.
Geef HIER voor 1 november 2022 aan of je het bestuur van MCLN decharge verleent voor het jaarverslag.
Bram de Vries benoemd tot Ere Master
In onze jaarlijkse vergadering van MCLN/Schaatscircuit.nl die we na afloop van dag één van de TRR hielden in Thialf, heeft Bram de Vries het penningmeesterschap overgedragen aan Martin Heerma.
Hiermee komt een einde aan een tijdperk waarin Bram het masterschaatsen niet alleen heeft opgezet in Nederland, maar ook groot gemaakt.
In 2001 startte Bram met het organiseren van wedstrijden in Thialf voor masters uit heel Nederland. “Immers”, zo vond Bram die tot dan alleen op zijn thuisbaan Amsterdam zijn wedstrijden kon rijden, “alleen dan hadden masters gelijke kansen om zich te plaatsen voor het NK.” De eerste twee jaar deed hij dit (samen met zijn vrouw Trudi) op persoonlijke titel. In 2003 richtte hij het “Masters Circuit Langebaanschaatsen Nederland” (MCLN) op zodat het een officieel tintje kreeg.
Op deze manier kregen masters niet alleen de gelegenheid op goed ijs wedstrijden te rijden, maar ook om veel vaker tegen elkaar te rijden. Steeds meer masters sloten zich bij het masterscircuit aan en zo werd het mastersschaatsen groter en groter.
Om ook de jeugd deze gelijke kansen te geven én om de wedstrijden volledig te bezetten, richtte hij als onderdeel van MCLN de organisatie Schaatscircuit.nl op. En zo maken masters, jeugd en junioren al jarenlang dankbaar gebruik van deze wedstrijden.
Dankzij het initiatief van Bram heeft het mastersschaatsen zich enorm ontwikkeld. Daar zijn wij, bestuur MCLN en organisatie Schaatscircuit.nl, Bram ontzettend dankbaar voor. Daarom hebben wij Bram officieel benoemd tot ERE MASTER.
Martin Heerma, die online bij de vergadering aanwezig was, gaf aan het een eer te vinden het penningmeesterstokje van Bram over te mogen nemen. Wij zijn zeer blij met de komst van Martin en hebben er alle vertrouwen in dat Martin de functie van penningmeester op eenzelfde nauwkeurige wijze als Bram zal vervullen!
Bram, bedankt voor alles wat je voor het masterschaatsen hebt gedaan!
En Martin, succes met het penningmeesterschap!

TRR2022 great closing event in Thialf
On Wednesday 16 and Thursday 17 March, we organised the Thialf Record Races (TRR2022) in Thialf, Heerenveen.
With all kind of racing possibilities everybody could race his or her favorite distance or allround/sprint competition. Most participants came from The Netherlands, but we had also 20 skaters from Germany, Sweden, Norway, Belgium, Switzerland, Finland, Romania and even Bolivia!
On Wednesday we started with the first two distances of the allround and sprint competitions: Allround Big, Allround Normal, Allround Small and Sprint. In the afternoon we had the single distances 3.000, 5.000 and 10.000 meter. On Thursday we had the final two distances of the allround and sprint competitions.
Next to a lot of SB’s and PB’s, there were skated a National Record and 9(!) IMSSC World Records!
Bolivian Record
During the single distance races, Erik Nijland (M65) skated the first 3.000 meter ever for Bolivia. So his time (5.36.83) is a national Bolivian record!
WR 10.000m M45
At the end of the first day, Robert Wierts skated a new world record on the 10.000 meter in the age group M45 in a time of 14.30.77. Unfortunately for him, a couple of seconds(!) behind him Arjan Elferink skated a new world record again. With his time of 14.20.23, he smashed the old world record of Harry Schut (14.34.95).
2x WR in Allround Small
During the Allround Small, Rene van Bernum skated two world records in his age group M55:
1.57.54 on the 1.500m. This record was on name of Victor van den Hoff since 2011 (Calgary) with a time of 1.57.99.
And a point record of 160.775 for the Allround Small. This was on since 2020 on his own name, skated in Berlin with a total point results of 162.567.
3x WR Allround Normal
Also on Allround Normal we had three WR’s points:
With a result of 189.131 Suzanne Mulder beated the WR from Imme Kampen in the L35, which was on 192.419.
But, Imme Kampen set the new WR in the L40 from 193.175 to a new record of 192.069! The old record was from Sandra van Bijlert.
And finally, also Kees Verdouw (M75) skated a new WR points: with 200.537 he beated the old record of 207.814 very convincingly. The old record was on name of the Norwegian Arne Kjeld Foldvik.
2x WR Allround Big
In the Allround Big, we had two new World Records in the ladies L30 and L55, because in those age groups the Allround Big was not skated yet officially. Danielle Frijters set the points WR in the L30 on 229.744 and Tialda Gerritsma put the WR in the L55 on 218.962.
WR 10.000m during Allround Big
And then finally, also in the final distance of the Allround Big we had an WR. Martin Hänggi (M50) skated his 10.000m in a time of 14.02.22. The old WR (14.04,98) he skated himself two years ago also in our TRR in Heerenveen. A nice present for the birthday man!
Congratulations for all results and WR’s!
During the whole event, we saw a lot of happy skaters! Happy that they were alowed to skate, that they could race together and happy that they could close this season on a great way.

Provisional startlist TRR2022 day 1
The (provisional) startlist for the Thialf Record Races (TRR2022) is online. You find the startlist here. The final startlist will be will be attached to the fence in the rink (near the registration table) and published in the Sportity App.
On day 1 ALL participants have to register at the registration table!
This is on the press stand (in the corner near the 500m finish):
– Allround and Sprint competitors: before 09:30
– Single distance 3.000m competitors: before 13:30
– Single distance 5.000m competitors: before 14:00
– Single distance 10.000m competitors: before 14:30
Corona measures: only together we can provide a safe sporty environment
There are no corona measures in the rink. But, let us make a safe competition. So:
- Do you have corona-related complaints? Stay home and get tested.
- It remains wise to adhere to advice that demonstrably limit the spread of the virus:
- Don’t shake hands
- No hugs
- Wash your hands regularly
- Coughing and sneezing in the elbow
- Keeping a distance.

Transponder
All distances except the 500m will be skated with transponder. You will get your transponder before your race at the start.
And…
A few agreements for the smooth running and safety of the match:
- Make sure you get to the start on time
- Make sure you have the right color of your arm band around your right arm
- Skate calmly on the warm-up track around the start location
- On the warm up lane: skate as close as possible to the inner boarding and not next to each other
- Do not enter the race track until the starter indicates this by means of a the whistle
